How about just a few facts: I have a Masters in Communications from the
venerable Johannes Gutenberg Universität in Mainz, Germany. Most Americans have never heard of it, but their Institute
of Communications is one of the finest in Europe.
Since I got my degree there, your next deduction might be that, hey, the dude
speaks languages other than English. And you’d be right: I’m fluent in German and can get a point across in French.
I’ve been working in new media generally for a decade and in social media since
2007.
Here in New York City, aside from the occasional board membership, I’ve made a name for myself as a blogger - “one of the best writers in the New York Progressive blogosphere”, thank you very much – and an all-around workhorse for stuff I enjoy, advocate for or that pays the
bills. You can read some of my best here, here and here. I’ve been the Managing Editor of The Daily Gotham, a top news and opinion blog, since 2005. Good times.
What else? I enjoy photography, spend way too much time chasing online and
offline trends, and am currently writing a childrens book about this little guy. I have a bi-weekly column in a Canadian HIV magazine and was recently
published in Alternet, right next to Noam Chomsky.
